Free agency audit and prompt pack
Find out what your agency actually delivers — before your next renewal.
The Agency Effectiveness Audit is a self-guided, evidence-based review you run yourself, in an AI environment you control, against your agency's last three months of deliverables, reports and invoices — and against your own Google Ads, Meta and GA4 exports. It produces a deliverables register, a production-versus-strategy split, a task-by-task view of what your own team could run, an analysis of what your ad accounts show that the reports don't, and an options memo for renewal. It does not tell you to fire your agency. It gives you evidence and questions.

Who it's for
Owners and marketing leads paying an agency for advertising, SEO, content, social or full-service marketing who cannot say, with numbers, what the retainer produced last month — especially with a renewal, budget review or hire coming.
What you'll produce
- • a deliverables register and evidence ledger
- • a promised-versus-delivered comparison
- • every recurring deliverable classified as production, strategy, or hidden
- • a readiness rating for each task your team could run with a company brain and AI agents
- • an honest picture of what your measurement can and cannot show
- • an analysis of your own ad-account and keyword data — waste, fatigue, conversion-definition conflicts, negative and expansion candidates
- • an options memo (keep, restructure, hybrid, bring in-house, replace) with what must be true for each
- • up to seven questions to ask your agency
How it works (the method)
Kickoff
register and ledger, plus your own perspective as labeled opinion
Split
production / strategy / hidden, scope-to-value
Feasibility
in-house readiness, measurement reality, account data, keywords
Decision
options memo, do-not-do list, questions
Every prompt starts with 13 rules of engagement: cite every claim, never invent numbers or benchmarks, classify every source, treat contradictions as findings, and never characterize the agency — assess deliverables against scope and record only. A red-team prompt at the end tries to break the memo, including a fairness test. Each phase ends with a human gate.
What it is not
Not a contract review, legal opinion, financial audit, or professional advice; it cannot verify the deliverables you gathered are complete; it does not recommend an option.
Your documents stay in the environment you approve
Hire A Brain does not receive, upload, inspect, or process your company documents or agency material through this resource. The form only unlocks the guide.
Questions
Do I need to upload anything?
No. You download the guide and run the prompts in your own approved AI environment.
Does it tell me to fire my agency?
No. It produces evidence, a split of what the retainer produces, and five options with what must be true for each. The decision stays yours.
How long does it take?
60–90 minutes for the focused review; 4–8 leadership hours for the complete audit.
Do I need access to my ad accounts?
Not for most of it. Prompts 3C and 3D use your own Google Ads, Meta and GA4 exports, and they are where the biggest findings usually are.
Can Hire A Brain run it for me?
Yes. Bring your completed handoffs to a working review; we validate the split against your accounts and scope the first in-house workflow.
Is this the same as the Partner-Level Business Audit?
No. That one diagnoses your whole business; this one audits one vendor relationship. Many owners run both.
